We finished our intro to scientific notation today with the last part of Lesson 13.4.

Wednesday 4/27

Today we learned how to use scientific notation to represent both really large and really small numbers in Lesson 13.4. We'll do some more work with scientific notation tomorrow.

Today we finished our look at exponent properties with a look at negative and zero exponents in Lesson 13.3.

This now completes all six of the exponent rules that you need to memorize and be able to use to solve and simplify a variety of problems. You'll find all six in the graphic on this post. Study, study, study; practice, practice, practice!

We started our next Desmos project, worked in MATHia, talked a bit about the timeline for the next several weeks, looked at exceptional waterfall projects, and reviewed last Thursday's homework in class today.

Thursday 4/21

Today we investigated multiplying and dividing powers in Lesson 13.2. Don't forget to complete any unfinished classwork from today. Problems 2, 3, and 4 were assigned in class.

Tomorrow we'll be taking our Chapters 11 and 12 test. Be sure to study your pre-tests, chapter summaries, and old class work / homework to arrive prepared.
