We finished our introduction to transformations today with the second half of Lesson 7.4.

We'll be taking our Chapter 7 test tomorrow. Be sure to study your chapter summary, warm-ups, class work, and homework to help you arrive fully prepared. This'll be your first test of second semester, and you want to get off to a great start!

Monday 1/25

Today we tackled reflections with the first half of Lesson 7.4. We'll finish the other half on Wednesday.

We'll be taking our Chapter 7 test on Thursday, which will cover all three transformations that we've learned so far:

  • Translations
  • Rotations
  • Reflections

Be sure to study lessons 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, and 7.4 to get yourself fully prepared.

Thursday 1/21

We finished our look at rotations today with the second half of Lesson 7.3.

We also learned how to use the Darth Vader in the City technique to rotate points and vertices about any point. This is going to come in very handy on our test next week!

Today is class we explored the effects of our second kind of transformation, a rotation, with an awesome Desmos activity.

For those that were absent today, you'll need to complete the activity at home on your own. Head to student.desmos.com and type in the class code that goes with your period.

We continued our work with translations today with a look at translating linear functions in Lesson 7.2.

We discovered that translating a linear function either vertically or horizontally will change the y-intercept, but will not change the slope in any way.

Today we dove into translations with Lesson 7.1.
