We finished our look at solving systems of linear equations by graphing with the last portion of Lesson 11.2 today.
Parents: Ask your child to explain what the graph of a solution with one solution, a graph with no solutions, and a graph with infinite solutions would look like. If they match the picture seen here, you know they've got it!
Next week we'll take a look at solving systems using a different method.

We dove into Chapter 11 today with an introduction to systems of equations in Lesson 11.1. We've got A LOT more to do with systems, but today was a good introduction for us.
For those that were absent today, be sure to do all of Problem 1 on your own before attempting your homework. You can use this blank copy of 11.1 if you haven't ripped out your textbook pages yet.
Homework: Finish any unfinished classwork, then do textbook pages 602-606 (Problem 2). You can use Desmos instead of doing the table and graph by paper if you prefer.

We finished out the chapter today with Lesson 10.4 where we investigated the slopes of parallel and perpendicular lines.
Instead of working through the textbook pages, we did a Desmos Activity that covered the same concepts. If you didn't finish it in class, please do so at home tonight. Head to student.desmos.com and type in the corresponding class code.
If you were absent today, you're welcome to either do the 10.4 textbook pages, or the Desmos Activity instead. Just make sure you do one of them to prepare for tomorrow's test.
