Happy Halloween Everyone!

Here is this week's extra credit:

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

1. Create an account at desmos.com (I recommend linking to your Google account).
2. Open this Desmos Pumpkin Ready to be Carved.
3. Carve your pumpkin. Make it amazing!
4. Save your pumpkin to your account (green "Save" button in the upper left).
5. Click the green "Share Graph" button in the upper right (rectangle with an arrow).
1. Click the "Image" button to share it as an image.
2. Copy the image link generated for your carving.
3. Paste that image link into a post in the Honors Community to share your creation! (image only, no equations)

Extra credit will be granted to those that successfully post an image of their carved pumpkin in the Community. Have fun and be creative!

We worked on an awesome Desmos activity today, Des-Face! If you'd like to work on it at home, just head to student.desmos.com and enter the class code bf9g.

Also, if you'd like to see a slightly more advanced one, check out my Des-Face creation! Perhaps it'll give you some good ideas for non-linear shapes and shading. :-)

We jumped into Chapter 4 today with Lesson 4.1 in class. We did problem 1 in groups and went over solutions together in class today.

Your homework is to do the Problem 2 worksheet to determine . . . will he catch him?

Don't forget - you'll be taking your chapter 3 test tomorrow in class. Study well, and arrive prepared and confident!

Monday 10/26

Today was a MATHia day. We passed back MATHia grades from the past two weeks, and got off to a good start for this next grading period. You should be wrapping up island 3 of MATHia (if not already working ahead).

We'll be taking our chapter 3 test on Wednesday this week. Good study tools are your chapter 3 pre-test, the chapter summary at the back of the textbook pages, your class work, and your homework assignments.

Friday 10/23

Chapter 3 is complete. Nice work! We'll take our test on it next week. Perhaps now is a good time to begin studying . . .

Don't forget next week is Red Ribbon Week!
