Tuesday 1/19

Today is class we explored the effects of our second kind of transformation, a rotation, with an awesome Desmos activity.

For those that were absent today, you'll need to complete the activity at home on your own. Head to student.desmos.com and type in the class code that goes with your period.

Homework: Play the Center of  Rotation game at home with a parent or sibling.

We continued our work with translations today with a look at translating linear functions in Lesson 7.2.

We discovered that translating a linear function either vertically or horizontally will change the y-intercept, but will not change the slope in any way.

Today we dove into translations with Lesson 7.1.

Parents: Ask your child to explain in their own words (and identify in their class work) the terms transformation, translation, congruent, image, and pre-image.
